Grammy-nominated metal titans TRIVIUM and Swedish melodic deathmetal pioneers IN FLAMES have announced a large-scale tour of Europe, including the UK and Ireland, for spring 2027, with PALEFACE SWISS and VOLA serving as opening acts at every stop. The tour features one of the most formidable lineups the continent will see next year. It brings together a band that has helped shape 21st-century metal with the group widely regarded as the trailblazers of the melodic death metal sound, as well as two of today’s hottest newcomers.

Led by singer and guitarist Matthew K. Heafy, along with guitarist Corey Beaulieu, bassist Paolo Gregoletto, and drummer Alex Rüdinger, TRIVIUM have been among the most consistent forces in the metal scene for more than two decades. Their breakthrough album, “Ascendancy,” was named Album of the Year by Kerrang!, achieved gold status in the UK, and sold half a million copies worldwide; the album later made it into Metal Hammer’s Top 15 Metal Albums of the Century. Since then, they’ve earned two additional gold and silver certifications, six consecutive Top 25 debuts on the Billboard 200, and a quarter of a billion streams. With the 2025 EP “Struck Dead,” which offers a taste of the new music already in the works, and Rüdinger now on drums, this phase marks the beginning of a new era for the band.

IN FLAMES are among the world’s greatest metal bands—they never shy away from pushing their artistic boundaries and creating music that is as catchy as it is rousing. Founded in 1990, the band is considered one of the pioneers of melodic death metal and a trailblazer of the “Gothenburg sound.” With fourteen studio albums to their credit, countless successful tours around the globe—during which they’ve shared the stage with legends such as Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Judas Priest, and Slayer—as well as millions of records sold and a massive global fan base, IN FLAMES have proven themselves to be an unstoppable force. Since their 1994 debut “Lunar Strain,” the band’s complex twin-guitar riffs, melodic vocals, and outstanding arrangements have given them an unmistakable sound that has continued to evolve over the years.

The Zurich-based band PALEFACE SWISS has emerged from the extreme metal underground scene to become one of Europe’s most talked-about live acts, blending deathcore, beatdown hardcore, and nu-metal into a sound that is as brutal as it is emotionally raw. Led by the charismatic Marc “Zelli” Zellweger, the 2025 album “Cursed” and the EP “The Wilted,” released in 2026, cemented the band’s reputation for relentless riffs and wild, electrifying shows, establishing them as one of the hottest new bands on the global scene.

The Copenhagen-based band VOLA is a Danish-Swedish progressive metal group known for blending tech metal, djent, and electronica with captivating, atmospheric songwriting. Since their breakthrough with the 2016 album “Inmazes,” the band has built a loyal global fan base and amassed tens of millions of streams. Their 2024 album “Friend Of A Phantom”—which features Anders Fridén of IN FLAMES as a guest musician—once again highlights their genre-spanning sound.
