A rousing revue-operetta that takes you to the heart of the Salzkammergut: It’s peak season at the “Weißes Rössl” hotel and inn on Lake Wolfgang. Head waiter Leopold has fallen in love with his boss, the innkeeper Josepha Vogelhuber. But she seems to have eyes only for regular guest Dr. Siedler. When industrialist Giesecke finally shows up with his daughter Ottilie and recognizes Dr. Siedler as the lawyer for his competitor Sülzheimer, intrigues and romantic entanglements begin to unfold.
“At the White Horse Inn on Lake Wolfgang, happiness is right at the door”… But what’s really going on behind the facade? With his production, Jan Philipp Gloger offers a humorous yet biting and timely look behind the scenes of tourism and overtourism. *The White Horse Inn* combines a clever plot with the melodies of no fewer than four composers. Folklore blends with jazz, Viennese folk songs meet classical symphonic music, and throughout it all, the foxtrot, marching music, and waltzes swing.
