To mark the occasion, Kurt Prohaska invites his best friends to get to the bottom of this question. Together, in the fourth chapter of THE STORY OF JAZZ 2026/27, they will solemnly explore where the jazz legends so highly revered by the mastermind behind the concert series—especially Kurt Prohaska’s friend, teacher, and mentor Hank Jones—had reached the age of 75, and whether the pianist and storyteller currently performing on stage might somehow follow in their footsteps.
“As Time Goes By” is the four-part annual theme for 2026/27, marking the beginning of a new decade for THE STORY OF JAZZ!
