Sheila Jordan, Clark Terry, Slide Hampton, Sonny Rollins, Lionel Hampton, Hank Jones, Milt Hinton, Roy Haynes—they are all among the jazz legends who remained active well into old age, at least into their eighties, and some even into their nineties. Even if some of them found it physically difficult to take the stage, once they started playing, they were all “Young At Heart”!

In the second chapter of THE STORY OF JAZZ 2026/27, the Kurt Prohaska Trio performs with special guests who have retained their youthful vigor well into old age on the Austrian jazz scene and can share stories about the aforementioned and other jazz giants.

“As Time Goes By” is the four-part annual theme for 2026/27, marking the beginning of a new decade for THE STORY OF JAZZ!
