Info

Her distinctive creation—Dinglish, a poetic and witty blend of German and English—spans the arc from Brockton, through Buffalo, Broadway, and Bielefeld, all the way to Berlin. The American entertainer and singer recounts seven nights that changed her life—a glance, a sound, a movement—and everything is different. Charming and humorous, with self-deprecating wit and strength, quirky perspectives, and deeper meaning. As a first-rate performer, she is glamorous, unbridled in her passion, and full of energy. Gayle Tufts is a home run. And she tackles the important issues of today with flair. An evening full of reimagined classics, fresh songs, and surprising stories. She’s accompanied by the musical backdrop provided by her stage partner and collaborator—the award-winning film and television composer Marian Lux.

Gayle Tufts was the first woman at the legendary Quatsch Comedy Club—and was honored for it by Pro7 as a “Quatsch Legend.” She has been producing her own stage shows for over 25 years. On television, she is a welcome guest on all kinds of shows and has spent evenings with Thomas Hermanns, Jasmin Tabatabai, Barbara Schöneberger, and Florian Silbereisen. She was Channing Tatum’s date on the red carpet at the Berlin premiere of *Magic Mike*. She is playing Dolly in *Hello, Dolly!* at the Theater Bremen to stunning acclaim—accompanied, among others, by the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra. And no one can stop her.

Ö1 will broadcast the evening live.
