LBT is working on new material for their acclaimed techno set: After a creative detour into the abstract and a change in drummers, the trio is returning to its roots—with fresh colors, new forms, and their signature pulsating drive.

Techno—vibrant, hypnotic, and completely acoustic: piano, double bass, and drums replace computers and synths. Sometimes lyrical, sometimes minimal, then driving and industrial again; LBT’s sound is multifaceted, yet always driven by a pulsating kick drum. Their music is an inward journey, inviting listeners to dream just as much as to dance ecstatically. Having grown up in the world of modern jazz, the trio takes its love of improvisation seriously: they phrase delicately or pluck with a pick, caress the double bass or literally tear it apart, while the drums explore every facet, ranging from subtle rustling to a powerful groove.
