Giorgio Conte - Sargfabrik - 2026

Info
Giorgio Conte should not be confused with his brother Paolo. While Paolo loves to put on a big show, Giorgio captivates with his subtle understatement. A quiet storyteller, a poet with a dry sense of self-deprecating humor. His songs seem casual yet are meticulously crafted, full of imagery, little stories, and elegant punchlines.
Raised in Asti, Piedmont, and influenced by chanson, jazz, and Italian folk music, he initially wrote songs with his brother while also working as a lawyer. For a long time, he led this double life between the law firm and the stage, writing songs for colleagues like Mina, Milva, and Ornella Vanoni, while also performing himself from time to time. It wasn’t until the early 1990s that he decided to devote himself entirely to music.
Since then, Giorgio Conte has cultivated his unmistakable style, blending Italian chanson, swing, and jazz. His songs tell of travelers, everyday observations, and subtle absurdities, infused with nostalgia, irony, and plenty of warmth. On stage, he seeks a close connection with the audience, accompanied by a finely tuned band that leaves plenty of room for spontaneous moments. An evening full of charm, humor, and laid-back poetry.
Giorgio Conte – vocals, guitar; Bati Bertolio – accordion; Alberto Barone – drums, vocal bass
