With her extraordinary voice, incomparable style, and charisma, the artist takes the audience on a journey into her musicalpast, while also showcasing a fascinating facet of her artistry: her versatility. With timeless hits by artists such as Earth, Wind & Fire, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Al Jarreau, and Barry Manilow—each of which comes with a story for every audience member—she touches everyone’s She touches hearts and fills the stage with her very own magic.

Experience renditions of songs that have become the soundtracks of all our lives—from powerful ballads to rousing dance numbers. But that’s not all! Maya Hakvoort also takes us into the world of jazz, the genre that has had a decisive influence on her musical development. With her passion for jazz and its rich palette of sounds, she creates an atmosphere full of refinement and elegance.

Maya Hakvoort is accompanied on piano by Martin Wöss and Herbert “Herb” Berger on tenor saxophone, flute, clarinet, and harmonica —together, with their virtuosic playing, they bring the melodies to life and perfectly set the intimate tone for the evening.

Maya Hakvoort, a native of the Netherlands, studied at the Maastricht Conservatory, the Academy of Cabaret Arts, and the “DeTrap” Acting School in Amsterdam. In Austria, she made her breakthrough in 1994 as “Elisabeth” in the musical of the same name, which she performed over 1,000 times in Vienna, Trieste, Osaka, Tokyo, and in front of Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna.

She has played numerous leading roles in productions such as *Chicago*, Les Misérables, Gaudí, Catherine, Blood Brothers, Aspects of Love, The Three Musketeers, Jekyll & Hyde, Evita, High Society, Kiss Me, Kate, Victor/Victoria, Rebecca, Love Never Dies, Sunset Boulevard, Cats, Next to Normal, Don Camillo & Pepone, Little Me, *Carrie*, *Heidi*, *Anatevka*, *Into the Woods*, *Cabaret*, and in 2024 in *Sunset Boulevard* at the Landes Theater in Innsbruck.

Since 2004, she has been producing her solo programs, the concert series “4Voices of Musical,” and her musical productions *Next to Normal*, *Blutsbrüder*, and *Into the Woods*. She is currently also on tour with the concerts “The Music of Bond,” ““4Voices of Musical,” “Honoring Barbra Streisand,” and “Maya Hakvoort – Unplugged.”

In May 2024, she took on the title role in the world premiere of *Lady M.* in Shanghai, where she will also continue to thrill her Asian fan base in the near future as part of a series of gala concerts.

Maya Hakvoort was awarded the Golden Medal of Merit of the Republic of Austria, the Grand Medal of Honor for Services to the State of Lower Austria, and the Golden Rathausmann Award from the City of Vienna. She also received the 2023 Austrian Music Theater Award for “Best Musical Performance.”
