The magnificent storyteller Rosetta Rosar is planning an invitation to an exquisite soirée and, in the process, discovers the fascinating world of the great 19th-century salon hostesses. Together with the two sopranos Robert Crowe and Annette Fischer, she presents compositions by historic hostesses from Paris, Frankfurt, London, and Vienna in this dazzling program. The program features passionate works by Clémence de Grandval, fairy-tale-like pieces by Julie von Webenau, elegiac compositions by Mathilde de Rothschild, virtuosic pieces by Pauline Viardot, and exotic works by Amy Woodforde. The virtuoso Yu Chen shines at the piano.
