Storyline:
The penniless young peasant Nemorino loves the beautiful and rich Adina. But she rejects him. Dottore Dulcamara sells him a love potion for the last of his money, which is supposed to change everything for the better. But Adina turns the tables and agrees to marry the handsome Sergeant Belcore, who woos her fiercely. Nemorino sees his skins swimming. There is only one solution: more magic potion. As he has no more money, he hires himself out as a soldier and uses the pay he receives to buy more of the miraculous elixir. But in reality it is just red wine.
When Adina realizes that Nemorino would even go to war for love of her, she buys him out of the contract. The door is now opened to love and what belongs together comes together.
