VIDA ARGENTINO - Tango und die magische Lebendigkeit Argentiniens

In 2027, the Argentinian dance and music show VIDA returns to Vienna. The world stars Nicole Nau & Luis Pereyra will be dancing at the top, accompanied by their company of outstanding soloists.
Ocaso Amarillo - In his lyrics, Jorge Luis Borges described the pale yellow striped sky as darkness descends over the outskirts of the city. It is the moment when the characters of the tango awaken and make their way into the magical night. In music, dance and poetry, Nau and Pereyra show the incredible diversity of Argentinian culture in their new program. Malevos, compadres, compadritos, gauchos and Chinas come to life. Heels and the edges of feet hit the floor. Soles scuff. Clothes rustle. Glances meet. The dancers place their steps razor-sharp in the space between the legs of their partner, whose waist draws artful figure eights, boleadoras whir through the air. The sound of guitars and drums. Singing and stories permeate the action. The stage is under the spell of Argentinian passion. Magically, courageously and spontaneously, men and women dance the magic of the past, dare to embrace the real tango and the duel of the future.

Luis Pereyra is a dancer, choreographer, director, singer and performer. The multi-talented dancer from Argentina has been dancing since the age of 5 and has been enchanting audiences worldwide for over 50 years with his charm, elegance, versatility and passion from the very first moment of the show.
His wife Nicole Nau embodies the tango like no other. The Düsseldorf native is an ambassador for her adopted home of Argentina and has even been depicted on two stamps with her passion for tango. In poetic passages, she tells of the secret. Of the roots. Of the poetry of courageous men and the strength of proud women.
In June 2025, Nicole Nau & Luis Pereyra published their first book together, "The Sound of My Earth". This book weaves itself into the work as a common thread.
