Info
Arguing with your partner, a fight with a colleague, an escalation in traffic - hardly a day goes by without nerve-wracking conflicts. Yet studies show that most arguments arise from trivialities. The trigger is almost always body language - and at the same time the earliest warning sign that a conflict is brewing. An arrogant look, an arrogant chin or an aggressive stare suddenly make words smell like a row. Dynamite Doris naturally takes this as an opportunity to immediately fire off her verbal torpedoes, while Chair Circle Susanne's "We need to talk" really fuels any conflict. On the other hand, the slippery body language of pull-through Dieter only reveals one thing: "I'm ignoring you and your feelings." This quickly turns a minor issue into an emotional injury that has a long-lasting effect and can even destroy relationships. Body language expert Stefan Verra uses his wit, acting talent and scientific know-how to show you how to recognize a conflict before it escalates. With a great deal of self-irony, he also demonstrates why "Let's stay objective!" is guaranteed never to work. By the end of the show, you will be able to decode the smallest signals from your counterpart - and know which facial expressions and gestures can be used to skillfully defuse an escalation. Family celebrations, meetings and vacations with your partner will once again be what they should be: harmonious. As always with body language: in the end, you won't know whether you laughed more or learned more.
