The time has come: Balldini is coming… not (anymore)—no, she’s leaving. Where to? Into a well-deserved “restless retirement.” But before she does, the nation’s enlightener is once again bringing together all her knowledge, humor, and passion from eight cabaret shows—and, like a tsunami, sweeping across the stage one last time with her farewell show “Highlights”: “Honest, authentic, well-rounded, and beautiful… enough,” as she says of herself. On tour starting in January 2025.

Everyone who knows, loves, and adores her now has the chance to experience Balldini live one last time in her final show. To the “newbies” and “first-timers,” however, she says: “BUCKLE UP, PLEASE.” This woman doesn’t mince words. She tells it like it is—about love, about men and women, about everything in bed and beyond. And she knows what she’s talking about: After 25 years in sex counseling, tantra practice, and as a sexual assistant for people with special needs, her cabaret shows are truly brimming with PRACTICE rather than THEORY. The Finale Program: Highlights

With “Highlights,” Balldini brings together the funniest and most exciting moments from eight cabaret shows: everything you’ve always wanted to know about the supposedly most beautiful thing in the world. She explains the dos and don’ts in the bedroom as well as the preferences and inclinations that enrich human existence. She offers relationship advice for everyday life and shares anecdotes from her practice. She answers intimate questions, debunks myths, and discusses the effects of pornography on our sexuality. And last but not least, she puts couples at ease who are anxious because “things in bed” aren’t working as well as they used to, and her knowledge serves as an inspiration for young and old alike.

“Höhepunkte,” however, always functions as a standalone cabaret show and is thus far more than a classic “best-of” compilation. In addition to countless “hihi” and “haha” moments, there are also many “aha” moments—because, as always, the motto is: education with a guarantee of laughter AND learning.


Moreover, her truly crazy and wild life (as detailed in her biography) provides plenty of material for the stage and her amazed audience: From growing up without parents in a convent, through her careers as an elephant keeper, adult educator, interior designer, and sex educator, all the way to her roles as a mother, grandmother, wife, lover, and Buddhist, she has plenty to tell (and to confess).

Sex educator, cabaret artist, author, powerhouse, and whirlwind

Barbara Balldini stands for eroticism, sex education, and lots of fun. As Austria’s most successful cabaret artist, she fills venues throughout the German-speaking world. Every year, thousands of audience members laugh and learn at her lecture-style cabaret shows—and enjoy tips and stories from “Balldini’s Little Sex Suitcase.” Highlights include her summer open-air performances, such as at Obervoitsberg Castle, the Tschauner Bühne in Vienna, or the Kasemattenbühnen on Graz’s Schloßberg. Offstage, her books are also very well-received and have become bestsellers.

Her fans love her above all for her open-hearted and direct manner; because she empowers women to be confident in themselves and their bodies; and not least because she (indirectly) improves the quality of many relationships by humorously conveying to men and women topics that are otherwise far too rarely discussed. Barbara Balldini lives in the Waldviertel region and is perpetually in love.
