Info

Experience Lucia di Lammermoor in the unique atmosphere of the crypt of St. Peter's Church.
Donizetti's moving version of "Romeo and Juliet" unfolds here as a gripping opera drama. With an ideal cast, the tragic story of love, madness and fate is told with an intensity that gets under your skin. A particular highlight: Lucia's famous aria of madness - a great moment for any coloratura soprano and an unforgettable moment for the audience.
In a finely tuned, slightly shortened version without choir and with piano accompaniment, the focus is entirely on the great voices and the emotional expressiveness of the singers. The extraordinary closeness to the internationally renowned artists creates a fascinating exchange of energy - an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
As the smallest opera theater in Austria, KRYPTA stands for the highest quality and uncompromising directness. Deep beneath St. Peter's Church in Vienna, an intimate space awaits you, making opera an unforgettable, moving experience.
