The New Concert Program
The acclaimed “Soko Donau” actor and audience favorite has found his second artistic home in Austria for many years now. In addition to his theater projects, the Nestroy Prize winner is finally returning to the stage more frequently as a singer-songwriter and entertainer. Now the actor and musician is coming back to Austrian stages! LOVE! is his antidote in an increasingly serious world. LOVE! And love yourself, too! We all have our own burdens to bear and want to find inner peace. Yet the world out there is becoming increasingly opaque and combative. Everything is changing; much of what seemed self-evident just yesterday is being cast aside. As a 62-year-old man, Stefan Jürgens knows the challenges of breaking away from old habits.
At the piano, Jürgens is accompanied by guitarist Matthias Kahra, who infuses the pure arrangements with a pulsating heartbeat. Viennese saxophonist Ilse Riedler, with her virtuosity, adds extra, special goosebump-inducing moments to the duo’s performance.
Look forward to a special evening. It will do you good. I promise.
Stefan Jürgens
As a founding member of the legendary RTL Samstag Nacht, “TATORT” and “SOKO WIEN/DONAU” detective, theater actor, and musician with seven solo albums to his credit, Stefan Jürgens confidently and joyfully draws from his rich reservoir of experience—accumulated over more than 30 years—during his stage performances. Jürgens offers his audience a constant rollercoaster ride of highly emotional songs with fantastic lyrics, profound poetry, biting stand-up comedy, and unsparing self-deprecating humor.
