Die Strottern & Das Velvet Elevator Orchester - Wiener Metropol
Vienna in large format
Dates
Info
The interplay between Vienna virtuosos Klemens Lendl and David Müller and the Velvet Elevator Orchestra is one of the most beautiful things the city has to offer. The 16-piece retro film orchestra Velvet Elevator was founded in 2005 by Heinz Fallmann and Martin Ptak to bring the wonderful melodies and sophisticated arrangements of TV and film soundtracks from the 1960s to the 1980s live on stage. Together with the Strottern, the orchestra embarks on a search for Viennese songs and chansons "in large format", as they were created in the 70s and 80s, especially in the legendary Austrophon studio in the Vienna Konzerthaus.
A musical city tour through Vienna: familiar, updated, new songs by Leopoldi, Heller, Qualtinger, Sowinetz, Conrads - and the Strottern. Alternating in the usual manner between original and newly conceived, fragile and opulent. It will be beautiful again!
