The world-famous comedy of mistaken identity moves from London to Vienna. 1924: Opportunity makes love, thinks the Minister, and arranges an atmospheric tête-à-tête with an opposition secretary in a suite at the Hotel Sacher. But fate doesn't mean well for him, but all the better for the audience, because the way this "Minister of Lies" trundles from one catastrophe to the next is truly ludicrous, breakneck fun. Apart from the infidelity, there is suddenly also a highly annoying corpse that has to be concealed from the suspicious Mrs. Sacher, the press, a sly waiter and the jealous spouse.
