Info
The show “Psycho” is all about the typical everyday “psychos” —those people we encounter every day: at the office, at the supermarket checkout, or at family gatherings. At first glance, they seem perfectly normal—until you take a closer look.
Influencer Vanessa-Michelle, known from Eichberger and Niemand’s first cabaret show, “Gemeindebau,” hosts the evening. With high self-confidence and a low IQ, she hosts this unusual talk show, in which the “psychos” are the guests. Amid “authentic” confessions, life hacks, and emotional breakdowns, Vanessa-Michelle tries to keep track of everything.
Her guests are quite a bunch:
…the phobic woman who breaks out in a sweat just at the sight of doors,
…the soccer fanatic who thinks and speaks only in team colors,
…the esoteric enthusiast who predicts the future for the audience, and many more!
Not all “psychos” wear white coats. Some sit across from us on the bus, stand in line in front of us—or might even be sleeping in the same bed. “Psycho” explores the charming and quirky sides of perfectly ordinary people and shows that madness is often just another form of everyday life.
The show takes a loving look at the little quirks of human nature—without pointing fingers, but with plenty of winks. After all, anyone who’s honest will recognize themselves in more than one of these characters.
“Psycho” is a humorous snapshot of our neurotic society—funny, keenly observed, and eerily familiar. An evening full of recognition, subtle observations, and good humor—for everyone who’s always known: “Normal” isn’t the answer either.”
About Eichberger and Niemand
Eichberger and Niemand are a voice of the new cabaret generation: multifaceted, fearless, and hilarious.
Behind the duo is Barbara Eichberger —a comedian through and through, so versatile that it’s hard to believe. After many years in small-art theaters, as a member of several improv groups, and as part of the duo Eichberger & Hnidek, she launched her solo cabaret career in 2025. Just a few months into her solo career, she won the Cabaret Talent Show and the Audience Award at the Burgenland Cabaret Awards.
In addition to her artistic work, she is the mother of a young child, the educational director of the Academy for Theater Arts at the Austrian Federal Theaters —and a positive person who is simply a pleasure to work with.
“Psycho” is her second solo show.
