This is the example we are given in politics, on social media and in the kindergarten WhatsApp group. We live in a society full of winners, where everyone wants to be first, indeed has to be first. Anyone who comes second has already lost, has been left behind, has fallen by the wayside.
These forces also have an effect on Thomas Mraz, which is why his motto is now: MRAZ FIRST! Yet he has rarely - very rarely - actually never - come first in anything.
It is high time that Mraz, in his first solo program, faced up to his big questions: Does he aspire to be chairman of the allotment garden association? Will he open his own sausage stand, just like he used to? Is he old enough to apply for a corridor pension? Is he a well-traveled cosmopolitan or a redneck from Favoriten? Or even both?
And most importantly: Is he really as egotistical as everyone else?
