The beautifully restored St. Anna's Church, THE baroque insider tip near the State Opera in Vienna's city center, opens its doors for contemplative Advent concerts. The program ranges from Viennese classical music to the most beautiful national and international Advent songs, which are masterfully interpreted by trumpeters and organists - a joyful and contemplative evening that gets you in the mood for the upcoming Christmas festivities and is not to be missed.
The heated church, which was consecrated by Empress Maria Theresa, is decorated with magnificent frescoes by Daniel Gran, the artist who also created the fresco cycle in the dome of the National Library's ballroom.
The magic of the trumpets in St. Anna's Church invites you to pause for a moment - moments in which you can escape the hustle and bustle of the pre-Christmas period and refocus on the essentials.
