MoZuluArt - three African voices (Insingizi from Zimbabwe) and a congenial piano accompaniment (Kapellmeister Roland Guggenbichler. On festive days they are joined by a string quartet. Musically, they stand for the fusion of traditional Zulu sounds with classical music. This concept initially convinced the record company Universal Music. Then the Vienna Symphony Orchestra accepted the experiment and invited MoZuluArt to join them on stage to open the Vienna Festival in front of an audience of millions. This caused a veritable storm of enthusiasm.
The way in which MoZuluArt sensitively brings Mozart's music to life in the townships of South Africa is surprisingly new. Accompanied by the Ambassade String Quartet, a quartet of the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, MoZuluArt is now thrilling audiences in Europe, Africa and the USA. This successful project from the Mozart Year 2006 does not fit into any pigeonhole, entices you to sing and clap along and leads you to the source of joie de vivre. So far, all concerts have ended with standing ovations.
