Wolfhardt Steininger, patriarch of a medium-sized company, has passed away peacefully at the age of 94 and his designated successor Hubert Zacherl is organizing the funeral service for the company. But his text on the wreath ribbon causes a great deal of irritation: "In deep mourning. Your employees".
Hubert, the new "old white man" at the top, soon has not only his marketing manager, social media boss and secretary against him, but also the very self-confident intern. In front of the theater audience as an assembled congregation of mourners, the company's management ultimately tears itself apart more and more in this highly pointed play. Not even the desperate priest can calm the waters.
Full of twists and turns, this comedy takes a sharp look at the abysses, pitfalls and rhetorical tricks of the current debate on politically correct "gendering" and its socially "prescribed" social interaction, but also traces its all too human causes and thus awakens a longing for attentive and respectful interaction with one another.
As with "Extrawurst", the audience can expect a hurricane of punchlines. Sophisticated fun and discussion material is guaranteed.
