Experience Viennese Jewish history and culture in a whole new way and visit the
Museum on Dorotheergasse before all the other guests arrive. We’ll welcome you at 9:00 a.m. and open the doors to guide your attention to objects—some very large, some very small, some very heavy, and some very light—and their stories. We’ll cover topics ranging from Vienna’s first Christmas tree to the Ringstrasse and the Viennese Rothschilds, who didn’t actually live on the Ringstrasse. Of course, you’ll also learn why Berta Zuckerkandl loved to talk on the phone and why Gustav Mahler didn’t like honey—all before you get up close and personal with the objects in the permanent collection.
Afterward, Café Taïm will serve an oriental breakfast so you can enjoy your day in Vienna with renewed energy.
