About Omar Sarsam:

The cabaret artist and pediatric surgeon Omar Sarsam is a true Viennese - with a mix of Iraqi roots and Czech-Croatian influences. Having grown up in Austria, he sees this as a real privilege.

He made his first appearance on the cabaret stage in 2004 at the improv show "Hands Up" at Kabarett Niedermair in Vienna. Together with Marc Bernhuber, he made a hit as part of the "Discoparty Brothers" with the song "Disco, Disco, Party, Party" - which has since collected more than 16 million clicks on YouTube. In 2016, Omar Sarsam celebrated the premiere of his first solo program "Diagnose:Arzt", followed a year later by the Advent program "Oh Du Andere". Between 2018 and 2020, he toured with his second program "HERZALARM".

Omar Sarsam can also be seen regularly on TV, for example on programs such as "Was gibt es Neues" or the "Kabarettgipfel" on ORF. In 2019, he also hosted the Puls 4 format "Comedy Grenzgänger". Since March last year, he has been chatting with Michael Niavarani and Klaus Eckel in the podcast on player.globe.wien about "Alles außer Corona".
