Kings of Leon - one of the most remarkable rock stories of the last two decades. What began in the late 90s as a family project between three brothers and a cousin from Nashville rapidly developed into an international phenomenon. The Followill family, shaped by a childhood on America's dusty roads in the wake of an itinerant preacher, channeled their experiences into a sound that is raw, honest and unmistakably Southern.
With their debut "Youth and Young Manhood" (2003), the band delivered an explosive mix of garage rock and southern attitude that caught the attention of critics early on. The follow-ups "Aha Shake Heartbreak" and "Because of the Times" showed Kings of Leon to be a band that is constantly evolving without losing its roots.
The really big moment came in 2008: "Only by the Night" catapulted the band to the top of the international charts with anthems such as "Sex on Fire" and "Use Somebody" - and straight into the collective memory of a generation. Several Grammy awards later, Kings of Leon have long been a fixture in modern rock: a band that constantly redefines its musical DNA without losing its characteristic bite.
