Info
The American metalcore and post-hardcore band I Prevail was founded in 2013 in Metro Detroit, Michigan, and is now one of the most successful modern rock bands of its generation. Their debut album Lifelines (2016) earned the band gold status in the USA and Canada. Their international breakthrough followed with TRAUMA (2019): the album received a Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Album", while the single Bow Down won an award in the "Best Metal Performance" category.
With the follow-up album TRUE POWER (2022), I Prevail once again proved their independent style between metalcore, post-hardcore and alternative metal. Instead of bowing to the expectations of the genre, they created a sound that perfectly combines raw energy, emotional lyrics and modern production.
Now the band is back with their fourth studio album Violent Nature. Recorded at the renowned Blackbird Studios in Nashville and produced by bassist and keyboardist Jon Eberhard, the band is more versatile and bold than ever. For the first time, Eric Vanlerberghe takes on both clean and unclean vocals as the sole singer - with impressive intensity. The single of the same name, Violent Nature, is already regarded as one of the heaviest and most energetic songs in the band's history.
But Violent Nature is more than just pure power. With tracks like Rain, I Prevail prove that they can also masterfully combine emotional depth and melodic strength. The interplay between aggression and emotion is a central theme throughout the album.
Violent Nature marks the beginning of a new era for I Prevail - uncompromising, passionate and full of energy. The band remains true to its sound, but at the same time continues to develop and impressively demonstrates why it is one of the leading metalcore bands in the world.
