charismatic singer Florence Welch, whose powerful voice and poetic lyrics characterize the band's music. The name "The Machine" refers to her long-time musical partner Isabella Summers.
The band became internationally renowned with their debut album Lungs (2009) and established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the alternative music scene with further albums such as Ceremonials (2011), How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful (2015) and Dance Fever (2022).
In 2025, Florence + The Machine returns with their sixth studio album Everybody Scream, which will be released on October 31. The album is inspired by themes such as witchcraft, folk horror, healing and female self-empowerment. It was created after a personal crisis and a life-saving operation that Florence Welch underwent during the Dance Fever Tour 2023.
Musically, the album was developed together with Mark Bowen (IDLES), Aaron Dessner (The National) and Mitski. The songs combine cinematic soundscapes with emotional depth and feminist messages.
In 2026, the band will embark on a major European tour, with concerts in Cologne, Munich, Berlin and Vienna.
Florence + The Machine remains a unique project that interweaves art, music and spirituality - powerful, mystical and deeply human.
