About Eros Ramazzotti:
Eros Ramazzotti was born on October 28, 1963 in Cinecittà, Rome. From an early age, he dreamed of becoming a singer - he was encouraged by his father. After a failed attempt to get into the conservatory, he dropped out of his studies to devote himself entirely to music. In 1981, he took part in the "Voci Nuove di Castrocaro" competition with the song Rock 80, received a recording contract with DDD and moved to Milan.
Success came in 1984 when he won the "new proposals" category at the Festival di Sanremo with Terra promessa. He returned to the festival in 1985 with Una storia importante, a song from his debut album Cuori agitati, which was a great success in France. In 1986, he won Sanremo with Adesso tu and released Nuovi eroi. This was followed by In certi momenti (1987), Musica è (1988) and In ogni senso (1990), which consolidated his international success. Clive Davis invited him to perform at Radio City Music Hall in New York - the first Italian ever to sell out a show.
In the 1990s, he achieved record sales with albums such as Tutte storie (1993) and Dove c'è musica (1996). Cose della vita, with a video clip directed by Spike Lee, was a worldwide success. In 1996, his daughter Aurora was born from his relationship with Michelle Hunziker. The album Eros (1997) contains duets with Tina Turner and Andrea Bocelli. In 2000, he released Stilelibero, including the duet Più che puoi with Cher.
In 2003, the album 9 was released, which remained at the top of the Italian charts for 14 weeks; the accompanying world tour attracted over a million spectators. In 2005, Calma apparente was released, containing the duet I Belong to You with Anastacia. This was followed in 2007 by e², a collection of unreleased tracks and new versions of his hits, which was honored with ten platinum awards. Further international tours and new albums followed, consolidating his status as an icon of Italian and international pop music.
In 2009, he released Ali e radici, an album that marked his artistic maturity and took him on another world tour. In 2012, Noi was released, which featured collaborations with international artists and was a great success in many countries. Three years later, in 2015, he released Perfetto, which was followed by a world tour. In 2018, Vita ce n'è was released, which debuted live in 2019 with the VITA CE N'È WORLD TOUR (over 90 concerts in 32 countries worldwide). The tour thrilled audiences for 14 months, but could not be completed with the planned show in Los Angeles due to Covid-19 containment measures.
In 2022, Eros celebrated 35 years of career with the WORLD TOUR PREMIÈRE - ten exclusive preview concerts as the beginning of a new artistic and musical chapter in five of the world's most prestigious arenas, starting on September 15, 2022 in La Maestranza in Seville, then in Agrigento, Verona, Athens and Caesarea. As part of the WORLD TOUR PREMIÈRE, Eros presented the new album Battito infinito. Released on September 16, the album - heralded by the singles Ama and Sono (with Alejandro Sanz) and released by Capitol Records Italy under license from Vertigo/Eventim Live International - is the manifesto of the record-breaking singer-songwriter's renewed artistic identity. It was followed by the BATTITO INFINITO WORLD TOUR, which took Eros to the most important stages in North, Central and South America and Europe until the summer of 2023, with ten dates in Italy and over a year of sold-out concerts around the world.
In February 2024, he was the great guest presenter of the 74th edition of the Sanremo Festival on the stage of the Teatro Ariston. Together with the audience, he reviewed 40 years of emotions and successes - accompanied by the sounds of Terra Promessa, a now iconic song - celebrating the 40th anniversary of his victory at the festival.
