NE-YO is a three-time GRAMMY® award-winning hitmaker, songwriter, actor, entrepreneur and philanthropist. With his smooth vocals, creative storytelling and exceptional versatility, he has been shaping the sound of music for nearly two decades. NE-YO celebrated his breakthrough to a global career in 2005 with his debut single "So Sick", which went quadruple platinum. Since then, he has released a multitude of influential hits, including "Sexy Love", "Closer", "Because of You", "Miss Independent", "Mad", "Let Me Love You", "Time of Our Lives" and many more. He also achieved his first diamond status thanks to his collaboration with Pitbull and Afrojack on "Give Me Everything".
As a solo artist, NE-YO has cemented his legacy as one of the biggest hitmakers of all time: three GRAMMY Awards, two No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and over 23 billion streams across his entire catalog. February 2026 marks the 20th anniversary of his debut album "In My Own Words". The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and is still considered a cultural milestone today. NE-YO also proved to be an equally talented songwriter, penning hits such as Rihanna's "Unfaithful", "Russian Roulette" and "Take a Bow", Beyoncé's 2006 break-up anthem "Irreplaceable", as well as songs for artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Céline Dion, Mario and many more.
His iconic music catalog also took center stage at his NPR Tiny Desk Concert, where he performed numerous chart-toppers. Most recently, NE-YO was honored with the key to the city of Las Vegas, plus the mayor officially declared August 7 as "NE-YO Day" because he grew up in Las Vegas and spent time at the local Boys & Girls Club. The versatile artist has also successfully expanded his platform into film and television, which has seen him appear in STARZ's BMF, NBC's World of Dance, Netflix's Dance Monsters, Empire, Stomp the Yard, Save the Last Dance, Battle: Los Angeles, George Lucas' Red Tails, The Wiz Live!, STARZ's Step Up: High Water, Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding and The Sound of Christmas, among others.
NE-YO is currently preparing to explore new musical territory and release a country-inspired album. He spent several months in Nashville working with various collaborators to combine his signature sound with the soulful melodies of country music.
