Cler & Grätzlorchester feat. Subchor - Album Release - Sargfabrik
Dates
Info
Max Hauer returns to the stage with his project Cler & Grätzlorchester and presents a special double album program. This time he has recorded and produced the albums entirely himself, without bringing external musicians into the studio.
The first release is the EP Wanns afoch war würde Fußball haßn, created shortly after the last concert at the Sargfabrik. The songs are brisk, direct and full of energy. The second album Kunstfigur contains 13 new tracks that are rockier and more powerful than previous projects.
The title track Kunstfigur reflects on the role of art, art figures and the challenges posed by social media, algorithms and artificial intelligence. Other songs such as Enchantée pick up on personal experiences, political thoughts and small wisdoms about life - musically between rock, funky and folky sounds. The album is a journey through Vienna's 16th district and combines different genres into a coherent whole.
The Grätzlochester is once again made up of various greats from the Austrian music scene: Emily Stewart - violin, Gregor Fussenegger - viola, Lili Weinhandl, Laura Pudelek - cello, Alex Valdés - trumpet, Jakob Mayr - trombone, Florian Fuss - flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, Alex Kerbl - drums. Ivan Beaufils conducts the sub-choir and will once again wonderfully realize Max Hauer's ideas with his singers.
The Subchor was founded with the intention of bringing those who have always wanted to sing but never dared to. It is a collection of enthusiastic vocal dilettantes and a great thing in general. Constantly teetering on the edge of world fame, its adaptations of familiar and unfamiliar popular songs from various cultural periods and styles are a source of rapturous enthusiasm for the appreciative public.
