Energetic, virtuosic and honest: Nugget stands for bluegrass in its purest form - American folk music with European roots, handmade and full of soul. The four musicians come from Austria, Slovakia, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic - an international quartet that has created its very own sound: polyphonic vocals, fast-paced instrumental passages and a groove that immediately gets you moving.

What began as a shared passion has long since become a figurehead of the European bluegrass scene. With mandolin, guitar, banjo and double bass, Nugget tell their stories - sometimes bluesy and melancholy, sometimes light-footed and wild, but always with heart and precision.

For this special concert, the quartet will be joined by Ernst Molden - songwriter, musician and author with a great love of Americana music. Together they present an extraordinary set of bluegrass and old-time classics, reinterpreted by Molden with Viennese lyrics.
