Yegor Zabelov gives the accordion a new voice. Born in Belarus and living in Poland, the musician unleashes worlds of sound on his instrument that hover between minimal music, ambient trance and avant-garde improvisation. Zabelov takes the accordion far beyond its traditional boundaries. He creates music that is as physical as it is introspective - with rhythmic structures reminiscent of electronic beats and meditative pads reminiscent of Aphex Twin or Colin Stetson.

"Proof of the power of imagination", writes Louder Than War - and indeed, his concerts are less performances than experiences: immersive, concentrated and quietly powerful.

Zabelov has already performed at festivals such as Womex, Moers, Rudolstadt and Europavox - and is now also transforming the Sargfabrik into a resonating space for sound, movement and silence.
