Gisele Jackson & Club54 - A Journey from Disco to House - CasaNova Vienna
Dates
Info
Baltimore-born singer Gisele Jackson was practically born with a love of music. After all, Aretha Franklin, Mavis Staples and John
Lee Hooker were trusted babysitters while Gisele's father prepared food for these icons of funk and soul in the kitchen of his music club.
Gisele Jackson began her career as "Raylette" in Ray Charles ' backing choir and in Donna Summer's band, and has opened for bands such as Tito Puente, Bette Midler, The Commodores and the B-52's.
The highlight of her career to date was her club classic "Love Commandments", which reached No. 3 in the Bill Board Dance Charts.
Now Gisele Jackson is fulfilling a long-cherished dream of a show with music in the spirit of "Studio 54" through to current songs of house and club music. Also
her own compositions are also part of the program.
Many disco classics such as "On the Radio", "Hot Stuff", "Don't leave me this way", "It's raining men" and "Car Wash" are performed in a thoroughly arranged show. But more recent songs such as "Sweet Dreams", "Gonna make you sweat", "Don't stop the music" and "Pokerface" are also included.
This will be performed by a top-class band under the direction of Werner Wurm ("Hot Pants Road Club").
