To mark the 38th anniversary of the release of the legendary Oscar-winning film, "Dirty Dancing in Concert" will return to Europe and North America in 2026 with a world tour of more than 100 cities. Global content market leader Lionsgate and GEA Live are joining forces with Semmel Concerts to present "Dirty Dancing in Concert" in Germany and Austria in April 2026. Audiences can look forward to unforgettable moments and be enchanted by the romantic charm of the popular classic! Almost a quarter of a million tickets have been sold so far for the rousing live film concert, whose multi-platinum soundtrack has shaped an entire generation.

"Dirty Dancing in Concert" is a unique experience that brings the unforgettable love story of Baby and Johnny back to life. While the digitally remastered film plays on the big screen, a live band with several singers performs the hits in sync.

This is followed by a fantastic after-show party. There will be a medley of your favorite songs from the film - perfect for singing and dancing along. The audience can relive the best moments of the movie, accompanied by live music from the band.

With its unforgettable soundtrack and legendary dance scenes, Lionsgate's timeless classic "Dirty Dancing" tells the story of a summer romance. The film was released in 1987 and quickly became an international box office hit. It was directed by Emile Ardolino, the screenplay was written by Eleanor Bergstein and the film was produced by Linda Gottlieb. In addition to Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in the leading roles, Jerry Orbach, Cynthia Rhodes and Kelly Bishop also took part. The soundtrack resulted in two multi-platinum albums and numerous singles, including "(I've Had) The Time of My Life", which won the Oscar for Best Original Song. With a worldwide box office success of over 214 million dollars, "Dirty Dancing" conquered audiences all over the world. The film spawned a television series, several reality competition shows, a prequel film, a sold-out stage production worldwide, a musical adaptation for television and a sequel film currently being produced by Lionsgate.
