"Glas" means "voice" in most Slavic languages - and the singers of the Viennese ensemble GLAS have plenty of voices.
The ensemble unites musicians from Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Ireland and Austria as a colorful Viennese treat. They not only reflect the cultural diversity of Vienna, but also the rich song repertoire of south-eastern Europe.

From delicate harmonies to fast-paced rhythms, from longing ballads from the Dalmatian coast to passionate Bosnian songs and wild Bulgarian heroic epics - GLAS transforms complex polyphonic structures into a fascinating listening experience. The audience is whisked away into a magical world full of sound colors, stories and emotions - an evening for the ears AND the soul!
